I grew up near the Port Hacking Estuary and spent most of my childhood on and around the river.
The landscape of Eastern Australia inspires me, but my connection is to the Illawarra and Shoalhaven coastlines.
I love seeing the changes in the landscape - such as the regeneration of the bush after a fire.
I paint impressionistically focusing on the light in its changing qualities.
My greatest compliments are from people who have had an emotional connection to something that I've painted, such as "I loved walking on that beach" or "I love how you've captured the light". The enthusiasm of my art audience encourages me, and people who purchase my work allow me to continue on my creative journey.
My main artistic influences come from Ben Quilty, John Bokor, Tim Allan, Arthur Boyd, Paul Ryan, and Richard and Adam Bogusz father and son artists) and of course, a host of nationally and locally talented people.
